historical-nonfiction:

This is a kpinga. It was used by the Zande people of Nubia as a throwing knife by experienced warriors. Usually about 22 inches long, this knife’s three blades made it easier to impale a target on contact. The lower blade, signifying fertility, was supposed to show the power of the owner. When he married, the kpinga would be presented to the bride’s family, which seems odd since normally grooms pretend to be eunuchs in from of their father-in-law.

Now I get the name! Lol
